Hello from Children’s Ministries!
A great big THANK YOU for all of your generosity in helping make our CM Birthday Party such a great success! The classes and Sunday School closet are now well stocked for the kids! A great big kiss and hug to all of you from all of us!
We had about 60 people at our Fall Harvest event called “the Great Tomb Raider”. We had a visit from Indiana Bones who took us on a tomb adventure to find out that Jesus is the greatest tomb raider of all! We had a lot of great food as we shared dinner and played a lot of fun games that showed us how Jesus worked miracles. A good time was had by all!
November 13th was Sunday School Mission Sunday. The Sunday School classes packed a lot of shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child! Thank you to all who donated shoebox items and shipping costs. It was a great teaching lesson about giving with a thankful heart to others in need!
November 27th is PJ and Movie Sunday! This is a time for the teachers and kids to relax before the holidays and get to know each other better. Popcorn will be served!
December 3rd is our annual Craft Advent Day from 1-4pm. Children will be able to make a few gifts for their family members, watch a movie and have some snacks. There are sign up sheets on the Sunday School table in Fellowship Hall if you would like to help with this event, donate food and drink or sign up your children. This event is geared for the 5 years old and up crowd. If you have a child under the age of 5, please accompany them during the event. The cost is FREE, so have them bring their friends and plan a few hours of shopping or relax time! We are in need of donations of old cds and dvds, paper towel rolls (no toilet paper rolls please!), old baby socks, rolls of magnetic tape, and old, broken crayons.
December 18th is our all Sunday School Play at 7pm. The theme this year will be a humorous look at the “12 Days of Christmas” and what we can give to Baby Jesus. Any children in our Sunday School that wish to participate are welcome! All children need to be at church that night by 5pm! This is a big undertaking, so if you can help in any way, please see Julie.
Our annual Children’s Christmas Eve Service will again be held at 3pm.We are hoping that because it is a Saturday, more families with children will be able to participate. This year we will be telling the Christmas story with silly bandz! Children of all ages, and those that are children at heart, are welcome to come and celebrate! We will also sing Happy Birthday to Jesus and have cake!
There will be NO SUNDAY SCHOOL on Christmas Day or New Year’s Day!
A couple of other notes: We still have empty spaces on our snack sign up sheets for both services. If you could take a look and sign up to bring snack it would be much appreciated! Thank You!
A heartfelt THANK YOU from me to all of the teachers, coordinators, leaders, advisors and everyone else that makes our Sunday School such a great blessing! You are all deeply loved and appreciated!
Wishing You Peace and Love this Holiday Season,
