Christ Community United Methodist Church Mission Team Vision Statement

Provide each person at CCUMC with the opportunity to participate in missions—locally, nationally and globally—so that we may fulfill and obey Christ’s great commission.  (Acts 1:8).

1. Pray- prayer is the foundation of all our mission work.

2. Cultivate a mission focused culture within our church.

3. Identify potential opportunities in our local community, state, nation and world.

4. Teach about and facilitate missions.

5. Support short and long term missions and missionaries.

6. Embrace a balanced approach to missions where each part of the body contributes according to one’s gifts and talents.

In July 2010, 15 members of our Youth Group will be going to the Dominican Republic to help the Orphanage Outreach Program. Click here to learn more.

Here’s a letter we received from a Missionary we are sponsoring:

Dear Sponsor,

Greetings to you in the matchless name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to you for your valuable prayer and financial support for my ministry. I acknowledge that your valuable prayers and financial support has been playing a vital role in sustaining my life and ministry. I too pray for you earnestly. May the dear Lord bless you richly.

During the past months, I was able to learn many lessons from the Word of God. Those lessons helped me to lead a victorious Christian life. Moreover, He has protected me from all harms and dangers and provided for me everything at the right time. I praise God for His love, care and faithfulness toward my life.

I am serving the Lord as a pastor in Nujokthepi village. There are 45 believers regularly attending the worship service in my church. They are taking part in all the ministry activities. As a team we go to nearby villages and share the Gospel with many people. We are actively involved in tracts distribution, house visitation, pray for the sick and personal evangelism. In several places we faced opposition from the village people. Kindly pray that those who are opposing our ministry would come to the saving knowledge of Christ.

During the last six months, God helped me to distribute 2000 tracts, 50 booklets and 25 Bibles. Through my ministry eight people received Christ in their lives and took water baptism.  Please pray for the rapid growth of our church.

In Christ, Daniel Terang
